What is the Rolf Institute?

Text Box: Most people find once a week to be beneficial. However, others find that they respond better to the work if they have more time between sessions to settle in to the new changes happening in their body, so up to three weeks between sessions is fine in most cases.

How often do I need to schedule sessions?

Text Box: Fascia, or connective tissue, is a fibrous tissue that enwraps every muscle, individual muscle fiber, bone, nerves, and organs connecting the entire contents of the body into a single fascial “web.” This matrix is the support structure your body holding the parts in place and determining your shape and movement patterns.
With injuries, repetitive body use habits, or emotional trauma, the fascial tissue loses its elasticity and becomes rigid. We become “stuck” in our patterns of movement, thought, and attitude. Rolfing is designed to re-invigorate the fascial web freeing stuck tissues and patterns.
